We had a great Veteran's Day. There were some Veteran's that I had never seen at a program before. It was nice that they came. The children sang like a charm. I had several say they thought the children sang better than any year before.
A young man serving in Afghanistan wrote to some children in our school. He told them that not everything about war is pretty. Some really bad things happen in wars. Then he went on to say that there are worse things than war. One of those things is being complacent and unwilling to stand up for our freedom or the freedom of others.
